Yuri Gagarin's 50th Anniversary

As you might know, our diligent boys receive support from many contributors, from private benefactors to the heads of industry and academia. A while back, our most trusted PR manager, Doron Landau, suggested a SpaceIL contributors' event be thrown, and not only that, but in Givatayim observatory. Dr Yigal Patel, who runs the observatory, was enthusiastic about the idea. We wanted to have it when the Moon was at its brightest and fullest form, and Dr. Patel, in his brilliance, proposed April 12th while highlighting it was Yuri Gagarin's 50th space-launch anniversary. What could have better suited the event than that?

After that, all fell into place as well. Our a little over 40 guests enjoyed a selection of wines, soft drinks and light hors d'oeurves, followed by a short progress update presentation. The crown's jewl of that segment was obviously the Maestro Itay Talgam, who was the last to give a talk about leading like the great conductors.
