There's utter calamity in SpaceIL!
Nahh, just messing with you, but now that I have your attention, it's probably time to bring you all up to speed with some of what was done in the education aspect.
As you might remember, our team's motivation was detailed in one of our previous posts, also, thoroughly explained in our website. All of this is undoubtedly well and good, but as in all great conquering campaign, it needs to be broken down to more specific goals.
First and foremost, we want to convey how cool science is (Corollary - science is freaking awesome).
Secondly, we aim to influence those on whom such an impact would probably be most compelling, and thus triggering the start of a life-long career, namely - eighth and ninth graders, who are on the precipice of entering high-school and choosing their majors. Once we got them hooked, we can start thinking how to incorporate groups of high-school kids in our projects.
The team has many volunteers working the education front, but our collaboration with Davidson Insitute would be one of our most beneficial. Together, we wish to get 600 school teachers involved in education for all sciences.
Here's a taste from the team's work
