Rick Maschek from the SS2S team and his rocketry friends are building the first solid-steam rocket motor prototype. Static test firing will be probably end of this week with a case bonded sugar/KNO3 propellant and cone shaped core. Rick gave the motor a new name: SAM, an abbreviation for Steam Assist Motor.
