Last weekend I traveled to Massachusetts to see my sister graduate from U Mass Amherst. In addition to the expected fun and excitement around a college graduation, I was thrilled to learn that the commencement address was coming from NASA Astronaut Cady Coleman, who has been in orbit since December 2010 and is still on the International Space Station!

As the waxing gibbous moon hung in a baby blue sky, Coleman spoke of the need for teamwork in all our endeavors, and how complementary skill and talents are needed on a team in order to overcome the challenges of today. Although her target audience was the crop of new graduates on the field, her message speaks to us all, and is one that this X Prize team takes to heart. Through the combined strengths of our team we will meet the multidisciplinary challenges ahead.
