International Women’s Day

We want to take the moment to thank all women who decided to become engineers as yesterday was International Women’s Day!

We’re quite proud to have amongst our more than 70-people-strong team of engineers and scientists five women. You know who you are! ☺

Best wishes also go out to the, from our perspective, mostly women dominated GLXP XPF Staff. Happy Women’s Day, Amanda, Nicky, Christian and Chanda, and of course also to the one and only space commander at Google, Tiffany Montague!

Tech  In January we asked you how Asimov should try to survive the lunar night. We have already gotten more than five submissions on “how to survive a lunar night” and one email on how to get Swiss Army watches cheap(!). Though we already started writing up a blog reply for all these (except maybe for the watches) you still have some time left to send us proposals on what you would do to make the rover survive a lunar night. We received some quite serious but also some humorous comments which you will see soon. So email your concepts, ideas and discount coupons to bloginput@part-time-scientists.com.

Blog  We now have a “Press” section on our homepage containing all press releases and interesting first-pick details for journalists who want to get in touch with us. It also contains our latest press release on our technology partnership with the German Aerospace Agency (DLR), see http://www.part-time-scientists.com/press/.

Blog  A reminder for our Fan Fridays. Every Friday we answer a number of questions we received in the previous week on all kinds of subjects, whether about our technical challenges, the team, current statistics or anything else. Email q@part-time-scientists.com, or leave a comment below.

All the best, international women and PTS fans!
