The Omega Envoy team continues to be highly productive. Recent efforts have focused on setting up our office, lab and shop space (graciously provided by the UCF Business Incubator). A video tour of the facility will be posted online shortly.
The team has also been hard at work developing CAD files, specifying rover equipment, and purchasing components for our fourth rover prototype. As previously reported, our intention is to complete this prototype in time to send it to the Mars Society's Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station on Devon Island in the Canadian Arctic for deployment this July. There, we intend to complete a full simulation of our GLXP mission to the moon, testing many of our systems, developing key protocols and procedures and developing key operational experience we will need for driving our rover on the moon.
We also are in the process of securing machine shop equipment which will speed our manufacturing and development process. Pictures and video coming soon!
