It's India's 64th Independence day, an event we are celebrating as the freedom for over a billion people to dream - a few of them are dreaming of making it to the moon before 2015 :)

100+ languages, 900+ dialects, over a billion people, over 60% working age population, nearly 40% middle class consumers - just some of the numbers used to describe India. These numbers make education a priority sector for the country, an opportunity for academicians, a challenge for entrepreneurs and planners and a revolution waiting to happen.

We use this opportunity to begin a series of blogs on education in India - a note on the numbers, space education, the opportunities that exist, some advanced science education institutes and we will close off with a note on our Education & Social Impact advisory board that is helping us leverage GLXP to rally the youth to believe in themselves.
