Last week, the WRV1 lunar rover prototype has seen some very interesting progress. The mechanical structure is now in place including the wheels, two drive motors and a fully functional steering unit. The mechanical structure still uses Stokys but this only makes it more steam punk looking.
Furthermore, WRV1 has been equipped with all the necessary lab-electronics that allow it to move and to be controlled via radio. Therefore, it was time to take him/her out for his/her first off road ride and let him/her explore the beautiful mountains of Switzerland. Enjoy!
