Last 1st of June; we presented our mission in China, at the Global Lunar Utilization Conference held in Beijing those days. The conference was organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and brought together scientists, professionals, institutions and major aerospace companies involved in projects related to the new wave of exploration aiming to the Moon. The team was represented by the engineer Jorge Fuentes from the Aerospace Technology Centre (CTAE). He presented our strategy for this mission as it represents an innovation for the Spanish aerospace industry and the way it will contribute to the national aerospace industry as well as the expected impact resulting from it. The GLXP is the opportunity for a highly complex mission, privately funded by companies not belonging to the aerospace sector and with national leadership. This represents an outstanding chance for training and demonstrating existing capabilities that will certainly result in competitive advantage for Spanish and Catalan industry and the possibility of assuming even greater challenges in both domestic and international projects in the future.The team also explored Chinese launching capabilities, one of the technologies that the team will need to purchase outside Spanish borders. Jorge met with representatives from the China Great Wall Industry Corporation, while the team doesn’t reject any option for launching.
