Wednesday's Open House showcased the newly assembled lander to the public and media. The lander, fitted with mock fuel tanks and legs, stood in the center of the Planetary Robotics High Bay. Red Whittaker spoke about the lander, the process of building it, and about the testing it will undergo at shake testing facilities in California. Reporters from several news outlets, including Pittsburgh's Channel 4 News, Channel 11 News, Post Gazette, and Tribune-Review were present and interviewed team members.
