Fabrication of the rover adapter cap is now complete. This piece fits on top of the cylindrical rover adapter that holds the rover in place during transit. The lander electronics will be mounted to the underside – the cap will be white and also serve as a radiator. Below is a video of the fabrication in Carnegie Mellon’s robotics machine shop.
